About St Therese's Primary School

St Therese's Primary School, New Lambton encourages students to take responsibility for their own learning while offering a community that is supportive of the creative, unique and individual talents of every student.

Working with parents and the wider community to provide a holistic education, St Therese’s provides a number of enrichment opportunities for students to extend their learning experiences and enable them to reach their full potential. St Therese's values the development of all students in the core areas of literacy and numeracy and offers EALD and special needs programs to cater for both gifted and talented students and those with particular learning needs.

St Therese’s has incorporated the use of technology across all key learning areas to meet the needs of contemporary learners in a 21st century world and create engaging and stimulating learning environments. All students have the opportunity to experience STEM programs and to develop their skills with the use of the latest technologies and tablet devices in the classroom.

With a strong focus on social justice, St Therese's provides students with the opportunity to contribute to their local community through a wide range of events and activities including participation in sacramental programs, visitation to local aged care centres, attendance at community commemorative services and celebrations, involvement in Mission days for Catholic Children’s Missions and Caritas, Mini Vinnies group and ‘Sing-Out Loud’. Students are also encouraged to consider the needs of those outside the school community on a global scale. Among other outreach programs, St Therese’s sponsors 88 young girls in Laos as part of the ‘Lotus Foundation’ to support the educational needs of those less fortunate. St Therese’s comprehensive music program provides students with the opportunity to receive private or group guitar and piano lessons, join the school choir or perform in the 80-piece school band.
