St Pius X Primary School, Windale is a Kindergarten to Year 6 systemic school in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle that aims to provide a sound educational framework that will equip pupils with the skills to make a worthwhile contribution to society and ultimately achieve personal development.

St Pius X offers a range of sports across the internal and external sporting program allowing students to compete and represent at regional, diocesan, state and national level in swimming, cross country, athletics, gymnastics, basketball, netball and soccer. Students also have the opportunity to participate in sport gala days, Newcastle Knights league coaching clinics, the intensive swimming program and skills programs in gymnastics, futsal, bike riding and basketball, conducted by Lake Macquarie PCYC.
Learning with technology is a central focus at St Pius X, where students have access to interactive SMART Boards, iPads and laptops in every classroom, as well as the library, including the latest computer technology and video conferencing facilities. Student learning is also enriched by the provision of dynamic information skills and literature programs such as MiniLit, Lexia and Mathletics.
