Corpus Christi Primary School, Waratah believes students best experience success through contemporary evidence-based learning and teaching and provides quality learning through a diverse curriculum in a vibrant, challenging and supportive environment.

With a strong approach to Wellbeing for Learning and Learning for Wellbeing, the Whole School Wellbeing Framework implements a number of initiatives including the Be You initiative, Positive Behaviours for Learning Framework and the Make Jesus Real framework. The Whole School Wellbeing Framework seeks to make a positive difference to the lives of our students, staff and families through a consistent and integrated approach. It provides the methods, tools and support to help our school work with parents and carers, health services and the wider community to nurture happy and balanced students. The school’s Pastoral Care Worker coordinates small group support and mentoring for students and provides general personal advice, care, support and comfort to students, their families and staff.

Corpus Christi is committed to developing lifelong learners for the contemporary world by providing learning that supports all learning styles and capacities. The differentiated, collaborative and flexible approach to learning mirrors the skills and understandings to become successful citizens in the contemporary world. The school’s dynamic classrooms are equipped with computer devices of increasingly beneficial student ratio, touch screen technology for whole class learning, extensive wireless capacity and flexible seating to suit all learners and activities and assist students in reaching their full potential.

Corpus Christi is a community where the creative, unique and individual talents of every student are greatly appreciated, embraced and encouraged. All students have the opportunity to discover, strengthen and express their creative abilities through music, drama and visual arts. With the assistance of specialised music teachers, students can receive private music lessons, participate in ASPIRE, school musicals and the school choir. The unique talents of the school community are also shown through student’s involvement with Tournament of the Minds, ICAS, debating, public speaking and the school’s competitive chess club.

Participation, enjoyment and skill development are the cornerstones of the school sport/physical activity program. Corpus Christi offer a range of sports across both the internal and external sporting program, giving students the opportunity to compete at representative level in swimming, cross country, athletics and winter and summer sports. Specialised sports programs are available for basketball, soccer, gymnastics and swimming throughout the year.
